Self-Restrained joint ductile iron pipe:
Restrained joint in which means provided to prevent separation of
the assembled joint. All restrained joints shall be designed to be
at least semi-flexible. Produce according to the customer’s
requirement. Ductile iron pipeline systems, including pipes,
fittings, accessories and joints, consist of various materials.When
used for conveying water intended for human consumption, the
materials in contact with the water shall meet the relevant
requirements of the national standards or regulations in the
country of use with respect to effect on water quality.
Specifications:
Ductile iron pipes can undergo large diametral deflections in
operation while keeping all their functional characteristics.
Allowable pipe diametral deflections, when the pipeline is in
service, are given, together with their minimum diametral
stiffnesses, which allow the pipes to withstand large heights of
cover and/or heavy traffic loads in a wide range of installation
conditions. Restrained joints for ductile iron pipelines shall be
designed in accordance with ISO 10804. Their spigot external
diameters, DE, and their tolerances shall comply with
4.2.2.1.Portland cement mortar, in accordance with ISO 4179; blast
furnace slag cement mortar, in accordance with ISO 4179;cement
mortar with seal coat, in accordance with ISO 16132.For other types
of pipe linings, including their repair method, refer to national
standards or the pipe manufacturers.

Usage:
Much of the production of ductile iron is in the form of ductile
cast iron pipe, used for water and sewer lines. Ductile cast iron
pipe is stronger and easier to tap, requires less support and
provides greater flow area compared with pipes made from other
materials like PVC, concrete, polyethylene or steel. Ductile Iron
Pipe is the most widely-used pipeline product in water supply and
water drain/sewage projects.
